Service Description
In the simplest of terms, BIOMECHANICS can be looked at as the study of human movement; how muscles, bones, tendons & ligaments work together to produce force & movement. It's a broad topic, branching into categories & subsections that can overwhelm even the most educated around. However there are standard markers for all athletes looking to improve their performance & identifying just one or two areas to work on can be enough to help create a baseline for building better strength, for working on getting faster & ultimately to stay injury free. When an athlete comes to me, I break down their movement in a simple manner with slow motion recording & follow on analysis. The programme that follows is built to supplement the individual current training routine as opposed to overhaul it. The key is to help the person become more aware of their strengths when it comes to running & the small improvements that can help compliment the journey for an ambitious sportsperson looking to make the step up to senior, to break into an international set-up or to improve their overall physical & mental performance.
