Millions of people use running to keep fit, to reduce the stresses of everyday life and to help them to achieve their sporting ambitions. Irrespective of the level of the runner, whether they are a recreational runner who runs to keep fit, a serious amateur who likes to participate in races, or an elite athlete who competes at the highest level, if they have poor technique their risk of injury is much greater. Beginner runners often spend more time on the ground due to lack of experience, less elasticity, slow cadence, slow proprioception, or muscle activation issues. These factors along with excessive breaking forces, due to poor technique, means that these stresses are repeated again and again as they take each stride forward and keep getting injured. The reason? Most haven’t been taught how to run. Running is a skill and just like any other skill it can be taught, it can be developed, and it can be improved through a systematic and progressive training approach. Join me for a personal 1-1 session to learn HOW TO RUN. This sessions will be reinforced by strength, activation and mobility exercises, and you will be provided with guidance and programme on how to practice your running technique.
